Lobbyists elect new association leader

The new president of the American League of Lobbyists runs a one-man government relations firm, but has a background working in Washington, D.C., associations. Monte Ward, who had been the ALL first vice president, was elected to the top post at the group's annual meeting Nov. 27. Prior to starting Advanced Capitol Consulting in 2003, Ward was a congressional staffer and then vice president of federal affairs for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.
